je réveille ce très vieux fil car je suis tombé ou plutot retombé sur un travail aussi intéressant qu'important de tesgaz, lisible sur son site perso http://speedweb1.free.fr/frames2.php?page=centre

Il y fait mention, comme sur le présent fil, d'un fichier inittab dans le répertoire etc.

Je regarde via mon explorateur de fichier et ne trouve rien de ce genre.
Je passe en terminal et lance :

xxx@yyy:[$]~: sudo find /etc -name inittab -print
xxx@yyy:[$]~: echo $?
0
xxx@yyy:[$]~:

d'où je déduis que ce fichier est absent de ma bécane la commande echo me montrant que la commande s'est bien exécutée.

Serai je le seul à ne pas avoir de fichier inittab ?

Quelle distribution utilises tu ?
D'aprés http://www.delafond.org/traducmanfr/man/man5/inittab.5.html cela ne concernerait que les distributions utilisant le système de démarrage classique, appelé systemV. Certaines distributions ont décidé d'utiliser autre chose pour démarrer plus vite (en théorie ...).
Je regarde ce soir sur ma debian.
